Over One-Thousand Dolby Laboratories Employees Help Improve Global Communities During Dolby Cares Day
Dolby employees will provide over 3,500 hours of service in 22 Dolby communities in less than three months
SAN FRANCISCO, May 10, 2018 -- Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) employees and community partners participated in the annual Dolby Cares Day – the company’s global volunteer effort spanning the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific between April and June. The company has proudly supported events such as hosting Dolby Atmos screenings for underprivileged children in Mumbai and designed and installed custom outdoor speakers and recording booths for youth storytellers at San Francisco non-profit 826 Valencia.

This commitment to service is part of the Dolby Cares program, which combines the company’s unique intersection of art and science to inspire the next generation of innovators and address communities’ most critical needs. Since launching in 2014, the program has seen exponential growth, with the company donating over $2.1 million to various nonprofits in fiscal year 2017. In addition, Dolby employees donated $1 million to nonprofits in fiscal year 2017 through the Dolby Match program.
