SEOUL, KOREA – September 8, 2025 – Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB), a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, announced that the company has made its Asia debut of the Dolby Atmos Music Accelerator program in Seoul, Korea, with the aim to support the development of local music creatives.

 

The Dolby Atmos Music Accelerator program is an educational initiative designed to give participants a deep dive into the creation of music using Dolby Atmos with practical training, expert guidance, and online resources from Dolby and music industry professionals. This program enables music creators to produce their own unique music in Dolby Atmos, equipping them with the essential skills to kickstart their careers as Dolby Atmos music creators.

The Dolby Atmos Music Accelerator program was held in Seoul, Korea, from September 3 to 5, following its success in the US and Europe.

 

“Korea is a cultural hub where globally influential artists, including K-pop stars, actively perform, which makes it particularly meaningful to host the Dolby Atmos Music Accelerator program here,” said Glenn Kiser, Global Head of Dolby Creator Lab, Dolby Laboratories. “Dolby is committed to supporting artists in pushing the boundaries of creativity with cutting-edge innovations like Dolby Atmos. We believe that, with this program, more talented Korean artists will be able to leverage Dolby Atmos to unlock their creative expression at its fullest and deliver a listening experience that is loved more by their fans.”

 

Six Korean artists participated in the Seoul program, including Kim Sae-yan, NECTA, Ra.D., Otis Lim, Cho Jung-Chi, and Zior Park, and Participants took part in mixing sessions at a Dolby Atmos Music studio, learning to create in Dolby Atmos using professional music production software such as Logic Pro and Pro Tools. They then engaged in a creative intensive session to mix a selected track in Dolby Atmos with the skills they learned, and various educational resources and tools provided. The completed Dolby Atmos mixes were showcased to industry professionals, including artists and stakeholders from music labels and services, at the end of the program.

 

The program provided a practical learning environment focused on creators, allowing not only the artists but also their regular audio engineers and collaborators to join and learn.

 

Three-time Grammy Award-winning audio engineer Matt Cerritos joined the program in person to mentor the participants. He has rich experience working with global artists such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar, and recording and mixing for Netflix and Apple Music. In addition, Dolby representatives from its headquarters and audio engineers from the Dolby Atmos Music studio in Korea, Sound360, also participated as mentors.
