Hyundai Motor Group Brings Dolby Atmos to Elexio, Hyundai Motor Group's First China-Exclusive Electric Vehicle
First Hyundai model to integrate Dolby Atmos for the next-generation in-car entertainment experience
SEOUL, KOREA – October 30, 2025 – Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE: DLB), a leader in immersive entertainment experiences, and Hyundai Motor Group today announced that Hyundai Motor Group’s China joint venture, Beijing Hyundai, has brought Dolby Atmos to its first China-exclusive electric vehicle, the Elexio, for the next generation in-car entertainment experience. This marks the first time Dolby Atmos has been integrated in a Hyundai model.
Dolby Atmos is a new way to create and experience entertainment that delivers artistic expression at its fullest capacity, immersing listeners in the content they love and forging a deeper connection between creators and their fans. In the car, entertainment in Dolby Atmos goes beyond the ordinary listening experience, revealing details with unparalleled clarity and depth. For consumers, it unlocks new levels of emotion for them to enjoy their music, movies, and more. Dolby Atmos can turn just about every vehicle into a space where drivers and passengers get even more out of their favorite entertainment.
The Elexio is Hyundai Motor Group’s first fully electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) developed exclusively for the China market. Under the concept of “Carry Your Light Forward,” the vehicle offers Dolby Atmos as standard to bring every journey to the next level with the best-in-class in-car entertainment audio.
Elexio’s built-in audio system integrates Dolby Atmos, delivering immersive and clear sound through six speakers. For an even richer experience, the optional Bose external amplifier system, featuring eight speakers, provides deeper and richer sound.
With streaming services such as Kugou Music and iQIYI integrated directly in the car, the Elexio occupants can enjoy music, movies, and dramas in Dolby Atmos in their cars, transforming the car cabin into an entertainment hub on wheels.
